Relax

Over the weekend, we got to enjoy spending time with my parents who came in for a visit. On Saturday, my mom and I went to the local Pasadena farmers' market. It was a lot of fun to see all of the fresh fruits and vegetables but it was sure hot! After picking up some things for dinner, we headed to Old Town Pasadena for some lunch at one of my favorite local places, Rock Island Wraps. My mom and I shopped at Old Town, Paseo Colorado, and South Lake most of the afternoon while Joel stayed home with the men to watch college football. Saturday night we grilled steaks and our farmers' market corn and fresh veggies. Yummy! LeLe and Pappa kept Joel while David and I enjoyed dessert at The Cheesecake Factory and walked around the newly remodeled Pasadena city hall.

On Sunday, we tried to escape the scorching Pasadena heat with a drive up to Santa Barbara but got caught in traffic. We ended up stopping in Camarillo and shopping at the outlet mall. We didn't get to spend much time there, but we'll go back. It was full of great shops, and it was a nice escape from the heat.

On Monday we relaxed around the house and watched Texas Tech beat SMU. Anyway, here are some pictures from our weekend...

Joel drooling all over himself (but he's happy!)

That's right!! Start him early cheering on Tech! Great game-ESPN actually LIKED us for once! Graham actually did pretty well minus the two or three delay of games. I can't wait for this weekend! I even have some new thigh high red and black striped socks :)

I miss you guys a bunch- I should probably call y'all soon. I miss both of you and that super adorable little baby! Tonight I got to see my babies, one that is a few days older than Joel...so I got to live vicariously through Kady. It was nice being back with my kids, unfortunately I just found out that I will be losing some of my foster babies at the end of the month. It is so hard when my babies get all shuffled. All that to say, work went well.

I love my apartment, I love pretty much everything that is going on, and as long as I take those adrenal pills...(which Jenn and I call my crack) I keep trucking. I have to be up in 5.5 hours for professional pictures and class. Oooh yay. Just think...almost Friday...almost Friday and then GAME DAY.

Oh yeah, tell my darling brudder that Elroy is buying up to 300 kids steak dinners from Roadhouse. Sponsored by Lynnwood if you email ahead and show up to Wesley tomorrow night. It was even in the UD. Oh and we got air conditioning for the fairbooth....and Wesley has stopped using styrofoam and now have recycling bins. Maybe, I should just call. I love you!!!
